Keith Crawford - March 22, 2012

Keith Crawford, 69, of Stockham, died Thursday, March 22, 2012.
Funeral services were Monday, March 26, at the Higby-McQuiston Chapel in Aurora. Chaplain LeRoy Hoyer officiated. Burial was in the Phillips Cemetery.

Keith Edward Crawford, son of Elbert Forney and Grace Faye (Hafer) Crawford, was born in Hamilton County on June 4, 1942.
Keith grew up in Hamilton and Hall County. Keith graduated from Doniphan High School in 1959. He worked for several farmers in the area.
Keith was married to Margaret Wichmann on Jan. 18, 1963. They had three girls: Lauri Ann, Julie Lynn and Tracy Sue. They moved to South Bend for four years, where he worked for Asplundh Tree Service, trimming trees for the power company. They returned to Hamilton County in 1970, where Keith went to work at National By Products in Grand Island for 16 years. In 1987, Keith moved to Missouri and worked at a foundry company making electric motors. He returned to Stockham and went to work at the Harvard Elevator. Keith was forced to retire in 1990 for health reasons.
Keith loved fishing, hunting and riding horses. He enjoyed softball and dirt track racing. Keith’s favorite times by far were the times spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Julie; and two brothers, James and Richard Crawford.
Survivors include his two daughters, Lauri (Randy) McDonald of Neola, Iowa and Tracy Crawford of Lamar; seven grandchildren, Travis Allen (Tiffany), Juan Antonio, Zane Douglas, Brett Wayne, Keith Benjamin (Jodi), Thomas Alan and Taylor Nicole and three great-grandchildren, Trenten, Phoenix and Paxton; four brothers, Larey (Marlene) Crawford, Jack (Mary) Crawford, Monte Crawford and Craig (Denise) Crawford; three sisters, Susan (David) Rumfeldt, Elberta Scott and Karen Rollins; sister-in-law, Marjorie Crawford and nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and an uncle.
