Beverly E. Otto - March 19, 2012Beverly E. Otto, 91, of Phillips, died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Tiffany Square.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Rev. Dennis Hunt will officiate. Burial will be in the Phillips Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the home of her son, Tim Otto, 915 M Street, Aurora.

Beverly E. Otto, the only daughter of Homer W. and Beatrice (Phelan) Stewart, was born in Grand Island on Nov. 3, 1920.
She attended Phillips School and graduated from Phillips High School in 1938. Beverly graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in Grand Island in 1941 and was commissioned as a First Lieutenant in the Army Nurses Corps in September 1943. She was stationed in London, England. Beverly was honorably discharged, September 1945.
Beverly was united in marriage to William Keith (W.K.) Otto on Sept. 13, 1945 at Mobile, Ala. They returned to the Phillips area to farm and raise their four children. Beverly lived on the farm until the death of her husband in January 2003, when she moved to Riverside Lodge in Grand Island.
Survivors include her daughter, Sue (Gary) Washburn of Broken Bow; three sons, Tim Otto of Aurora, Randy Otto of Rolling Hills, Calif. and Todd (Dawyn) Otto of Phillips; three grandchildren, Brant (Traci) Washburn of Lincoln, Shalyse (Daniel) Lottermoser of El Cajon, Calif. and Abbie Otto of Phillips; five great-granddaughters, Taylor, Sarah and Reagan Washburn and Nala and Cora Lottermoser and three sisters-in-law, Marilyn Fischer, Jerre Lane and Eloise Marvel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, W.K. Otto.
