Adeline Salmon - May 02, 2009

Adeline Salmon, 79, of Phillips, died Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Hamilton Manor.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 5 at the Evangelical Covenant Church. Pastor Karl Larson officiated. Burial was in Aurora Cemetery. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
Adeline Marie Salmon, daughter of Jim and Evelyn (Morss) Reisinger, was born in Aurora on July 10, 1929. She grew up on the family farm west of Aurora and attended country school through the 8th grade.
She married Vernon ‘Bud’ Salmon on July 6, 1946 in Kansas. They farmed southwest of Aurora their entire married life.
She enjoyed raising flowers and playing cards with family and friends. She enjoyed bowling for over 45 years and attending the state tournament for 40 years.
Survivors include her husband, Bud Salmon of Phillips; son, Doug (Nancy) Salmon of Aurora; daughter, Doris (Ross) Groelz of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; four grandchildren, Andy Groelz, Ryan Groelz, Amy Macy and Laura Fortney and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Oren (Rosie) Reisinger of Aurora and Aaron (Mary Mae) Reisinger of Grand Island; five sisters, Ines Oswald of Aurora, Iola Lantzer of Aurora, Mary (Ray) Larson of Grand Island, Audrey (Jerry) Weedin of Grand Island and Ruth (Otis) Shiller of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Reisinger and an infant sister.
