Terry Richter - January 26, 2012Terry Richter, 61, of Aurora, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Revs. Brian Krause and Bob Stretch will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora.

Terry Richter, son of Roy and JoAnn (Hogeland) Richter, Jr., was born in Denver, Colo. on Oct. 9, 1950.
Terry grew up in Bloomington and attended schools there and graduated from Marquette High School in 1968.
Terry was united in marriage to Rita Hultine on April 2, 1986. Following their marriage they lived in Clay Center and the past 20 years they have lived in Aurora. Terry was an over-the-road trucker for over 40 years where he worked for Dahlsten Truck Line the majority of the time as an owner/operator. The last five years he was an independent contractor with Aurora Coop.
He enjoyed fishing at his cabin in Glen Elder, Kan. and off the bank at the Platte River and spending time with his grandchildren. His latest hobby was Terry’s Trophies and Treasures.
He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Russell Hultine.
Survivors include his wife, Rita of Aurora; three daughters, Shelly (Steve) Austin of Lincoln, Marcy Trejo and Bill Rozevink of Grand Island and Mandy Richter and Joe Hawley of Farwell; faithful companion, Willy, his schnauzer; six grandchildren, Sydney and Tyson Trejo, Brody and Owen Austin, Morgan and Carter Hawley. He is also survived by his brothers, Rex (Becky) Richter of Aurora, Kim (Cindy) Richter of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Rick Richter and fiancé Pam Johnston of Wathena, Kan.; sisters, Claudia (Richard) Maska of Yankton, S.D., Trish (Jerry) Hoegh of Lincoln, Lisa (Todd) Reichardt of Aurora; stepbrother, Corey (Jo-Hanna) Goettsche of Lincoln and stepsister, Keri Goettsche of Arizona; stepmother, Peg Richter of Aurora, mother-in-law, Phyllis Hultine of Sutton; brother-in-law, Tom (Cheryl) Hultine of Harvard, sister-in-law, Kathy (Gary) Palmer of Camp Verde, Ariz., several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
