Crystal Lantz - November 15, 2011

Former Aurora resident Crystal Loraine Lantz, 77, of Pawnee City, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011 in Pawnee City.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at the United Methodist Church, Pawnee City with Pastor Alan Gager officiating. Burial will be at Virginia Cemetery, Virginia, Nebraska.

Crystal was born on Dec. 24, 1934, the youngest of eight, to Orby C. and Ola Mae (Weddle) Hurley in Carnegie, Okla.
In 1947 the family moved to Kerman, Calif., there she finished school.
Crystal married Kyle Lantz on Feb. 5, 1955, to this union their daughter Karen was born.
Crystal had many jobs during her life: nurses aide and homemaking were jobs she loved. In 1960 they moved to Nebraska, Kyle’s home and birth state.
She was a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary, member of Order of the Eastern Stars Vesta Chapter #9 Beatrice.
She is survived by her husband Kyle of Pawnee City; two granddaughters, Tessa Rome and husband Jamey of Kearney and Tena Widener of Grand Island; four great-grandchildren; brother Alfred Hurley of Chickasha, Okla.; sister Fay and husband Ralph of Fresno, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Beverly Hurley of Brooking, Ore., Evelyn Hurley of Chickasha, Okla., Bessie Belle Lantz, Ruth Lantz and Lola Jean Clutter, all of Nebraska; many nephews and nieces.
Crystal was preceded in death by her parents Orby and Ola Hurley; daughter, Karen Gail (Lantz) Engert; sister, Marie Buffer; brothers, O.J., Gene, Wayne and Jerry Hurley; six nephews and one great-stepnephew.
