Mark Duncan - September 21, 2011

Mark Duncan, 54, of Republican City, formerly of Aurora, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 26 at the Higby-McQuiston Chapel in Aurora. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
Mark Duncan, the son of George and Alma (Gieber) Duncan, was born at Lincoln on Oct. 12, 1956.
Dunc spent his younger years in California. He returned to Nebraska in 1980. Dunc began working for his uncle Jerry at the interstate as a cook. In 1982, he started working at Century Mfg/Arjo/Penner Mfg until 2005. Dunc then started his own business “Dunc’s Seamless Gutters & More.”
Dunc was married to Debbie Lynn Enderle on Nov. 25, 1983. They were proud parents of their daughters, Lori and Alyssa Lynn. They divorced in 2005 after 25 years of marriage.
Mark loved jeeping, working with wood, going to Buck’s to hang-out, shooting pool, hunting and boating. He liked playing softball and bowling. Dunc loved going on vacations and they always took a grandchild with them. He enjoyed visiting his mom and dad and sisters and brothers. Holidays were great. Dunc and Mom (Ruth) always, always ate last. Derek, Alex and Cassidy loved their Papa. Dunc loved it all. He was your best friend, a hard worker, a good Dad, Papa and Dunc was Dunc.
Survivors include his daughters, Alyssa (Joel) Hammons and Lori (Cris) Brechbill; threegrandchildren, Derek, Alex and Cassidy Brechbill; Baby Love, Terry Madsen; parents, Larry and Alma Sipp; special friend, Deb Duncan; brothers, Charles (Gail) Duncan, Johnny Duncan, Kathy Olson, Tom Duncan and Paul Duncan.
