Stanley Hinrichs - July 31, 2011

Former area resident Stanley Edward Hinrichs of Colorado Springs, Colo., died at his home on Sunday, July 31, 2011.
Stanley was born in Hastings, Neb., on Jan. 5, 1946 to Edward and Zelma Hinrichs. He served in the United States Navy from 1965-1971, where he served as a postal clerk on the USS Hancock, and later was stationed in Danang, Vietnam.
Stanley retired from Tekota Electric after 19 years of service. He was a loyal and hardworking father and employee. He enjoyed all sports and loved watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers on TV. He especially loved a beautiful sunset.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Patricia, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sons Brent (Heather) of Kansas and Jeremy (Jessica) of Colorado Springs; mother, Zelma of Aurora; sisters, Kay (Royal) Miller of Hastings, Marjorie Crawford and Mary (Jack) Crawford of Phillips; brother James (Barb) Hinrichs of Hastings; grandchildren Kariss, Alex, Jensen and Tattum of Kansas and Jayden and Jace of Colorado Springs; and also by10 nieces and 12 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Ed, brother Wayne, and brother-in-law Dick Crawford.
Graveside services are to be held at a later date at the Giltner Cemetery in Giltner. Arrangements made by Science Care.
