Gregory Bolles - July 27, 2011Gregory Lee Bolles, 52, of Central City, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
Funeral services will be Monday, Aug. 1 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Harvey Johnson officiating. Visitation is Sunday, July 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in the Central City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family. Greg was born in Grand Island on March 26, 1959, to Larry J. and Deanna R. (Steinwart) Bolles. He grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1977. Greg spent several years in Seattle and California before returning to Nebraska in the early 1980s.
On July 12, 1986, Greg was united in marriage to Stacy Marie Nouzovsky. They made their home in Central City. Greg worked at Monforts, the Starotska Group, with his father at Bolles Heating and Air Conditioning and Diamond Engineering. In 2006, he began working for Midwest Heating and Air Conditioning and was working there at the time of his death.
Greg was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Grand Island. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting. He was an avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed baseball and the Huskers. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his loving wife and his children. He faithfully attended his children’s activities. The family enjoyed traveling together and playing movie trivia. He was a movie guru and especially loved westerns. Greg, affectionately know as “Sonny” to many, is greatly remembered for being a family man, for his sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. His smile will be forever treasured by his friends and family.
Greg is survived by his wife, Stacy of Central City; his children, Sasha and Cody Orth of Yuma, Colo.; Slade Bolles and Shayanna Bolles both of Central City; his father, Larry Bolles of Grand Island; three sisters, Denise and Dan Zabka of Grand Island, Shannon and Scott Scheierman of Aurora, and Tara and Erich Bolles-Buer of Williams, Ore.; two brothers, Lanny and Lana Bolles of Lincoln and Jamie and April Bolles of Phoenix; and his parents-in-law, Millard and Ida Mae Nouzovsky of Central City.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Deanna Bolles and his grandparents.
