Doris Bradley - April 08, 2011

Doris Irma Bradley, 85, of Lincoln, died Friday, April 8, 2011 peacefully at home surrounded by family.
She was born March 12, 1926 in Watsonville, Calif. to Merrill and Mary Irma (Dempsey) McGowan. Doris was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of the Women’s Circle of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and a member of PEO, Chapter K. She hosted the Dental Wives’ Groups at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry and Baylor College of Dentistry. She was a volunteer at Bryan Hospital in the physical therapy department. Doris was always ready to help those in need.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 1200 S 40th St, Lincoln.
The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers to Bradley Dental Scholarship at the University of Nebraska Foundation or the Lincoln Food Bank.

Survivors include her husband: Dr. Richard E. Bradley of Lincoln; two daughters, Diane (Mike) Stewart of Aurora and Karen Bradley of Lincoln; one son David (Cindy) Bradley of Aurora; grandson, Patrick (Allison) Stewart, Minneapolis, Minn.; granddaughters: Melanie Stewart of Omaha, Megan Wacker of Lincoln, Jordan Bradley of Aurora and her fiancé Brandon Timm of Neligh; Kristin Wacker, Denver Colo., grandson, Aaron Bradley of Lincoln and his fiancée Mikala Fricke, Castaic, Calif.; sister, Margie Gay Nix, Capitola, Calif.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Fern McGowan and infant son, Kent.
