Lucille E. Friesen - March 21, 2011

Lucille E. Friesen, 90, of Henderson, died Monday, March 21, 2011 at Henderson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson with the Rev. Jim Voth officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9 p.m. Wednesday at Metz Mortuary, Henderson. The family will be present Wednesday evening from 7-8:30 to greet friends. Memorials may be directed to the Henderson Care Center.

She was born Oct. 10, 1920 at Bridgeport, Okla. to John D. and Agnes (Dick) Pankratz. Lucille attended school at District 38 in Hamilton County and graduated from Henderson High School in 1938.
She was united in marriage to Peter E. Friesen on Oct. 10, 1939 at Henderson. The union was blessed with five children. Lucille was a member of Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson and Mission Circle 1. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery and gardening.
Survivors include two sons, Roy (Phyllis) Friesen of Greeley, Colo. and Glen Friesen of Hampton; three daughters, Treva Rosenthal of Margate, Fla., Pamela (Rick) Oetken of Akron, Iowa and Audrey (Paul) Janzen of Henderson; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister Lu (Eugene) Bergen of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law Alan.
