Dorothy Glaser - February 18, 2011

Dorothy June (Bisch) Glaser, 83, of Lincoln, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 following a fall and subsequent hospice care.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 22 at First Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
Dorothy was born June 22, 1927 in Brewster, Minn., to Joseph and Lena (Schmidgall) Bisch.
She graduated from Brewster High School in 1945.
She married Lawrence A. Glaser on June 29, 1947 in Aberdeen, Wash.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Previous Lincoln employers were Western Electric and Bankers Life Nebraska (Ameritas) In 1983 she retired to Holiday Island, Ark. and then Phoenix, Ariz before returning to Nebraska in 1999. During her active years, Dorothy enjoyed golf, travel, sewing, crocheting, reading and playing cards.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Glaser of Lincoln; one daughter, Cathy (Michael) Gorka of Lincoln; one son, Rod (Kathy) Glaser of Ozark, Mo.; grandsons Ryan Gorka of Lincoln and Scott and Jordin Gorka of Lincoln; AFS daughter Sophie (Charoenratha) Ratanaya of Bangkok, Thiland; sister-in-law, Myra Bisch of Pipestone, Minn., one sister, Barbara (Wally) Kolsrud of Lakeville, Minn.; brothers-in-law, Edward (Marless) Glaser of Lakefield, Minn, Luther (Leona) Glaser of Lakefield, Minn; sisters-in-law, Peg Orem of Fairmont, Minn., Gerri (Bill) Onischuk of Bella Vista, Ark and Gene Saylor of St. Paul, Minn.; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Robert and Donald.
Memorials are directed to First Lutheran Church in Lincoln or the American Cancer Society.
