Diana Brown - February 18, 2011

Diana Lynn Brown, 57, of Central City, formerly of Marquette, died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lincoln on Friday, February 18, 2011.
Memorial services will be Saturday, Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Paul Blanchard officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Russell, Kan. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.soltfh.com.
Diana was born Aug. 5, 1953, in Russell, Kan., to Calvin and Alvina (Karst) Templeton. She grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in 1971. Diana received her Cosmetology License and practiced as a beautician in Salina.
On Sept. 29, 1973 Diana Templeton was united in marriage to Jerry Brown in Salina. They lived in Kansas until moving to Marquette in 1977. Diana worked at the grocery store in Marquette until returning to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City as an LPN and also worked as an LPN in Aurora, Grand Island and St. Paul.
Diana and Jerry moved to Central City in 1997 and Diana was forced to retire due to her health.
Diana enjoyed fishing, collecting cookbooks and angels, quilting, knitting, crocheting, gardening and canning; and her greatest love was for her family.
Surivors include her husband, Jerry of Central City; her daughter Heather (Jesse) Giesick of Hutchinson, Kan.; her granddaughter, Monica Giesick; one brother, Alan Templeton of Russell, Kan,; two sisters, LoAnn Sechtem of Russell, Kan. and Marjorie Reinhardt of Aurora, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
