Dwight Paschke - January 24, 2011Dwight Paschke, 80, of Aurora, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Mark Hartley will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora.

Dwight Eugene Paschke, the son of Henry Elmer and Eva Doris (Price) Paschke, was born in rural Polk County on May 9, 1930.
He grew up on the family farm and moved with his parents to Hamilton County in 1944. In 1946 he quit school to help his father on the farm.
Dwight was united in marriage to Lois Elge Wadkins on Dec. 9, 1950 at the home of her parents. Following their marriage Dwight farmed northwest of Aurora until his retirement in 1995.
Dwight was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church where he ushered and served in many other capacities. He was currently a member of the Pleasant View Bible Church where he was also an usher for many years. Dwight accepted the Lord when he was a teenager and seldom missed church on Sundays.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Paschke of Aurora; sons, Byron (Nancy) Paschke of Aurora, Roger (Karin) Paschke of Topeka, Kansas and Larry (Michelle) Paschke of Aurora; six grandchildren, Nich (Jen) Paschke, Josh (Angie) Paschke, Lauren (Jacob) Weasel, Grant (Elizabeth) Paschke, Michael (Samantha) Paschke, and Jason Paschke; six great-grandchildren; sister, Delores Kliewer; and many other family members and friends.
