Louise Sherwood - December 11, 2010

Louise R. Basore Sherwood, 74, of Hutchinson, Kan., died Dec. 11, 2010 at Hospice House in Hutchinson.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 17 at the Elliott Mortuary with Chaplain Sara Blodgett presiding. A memorial service will also be held on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 10 a.m. at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora, with Pastor Mary Scott officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Aurora City Cemetery in Aurora.
Louise was born July 15, 1936 in Aurora, the daughter of Russell and Mildred Christenson Holloway. She attended school in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1953.
She attended the United Methodist Church in Aurora. She owned and managed a furniture store in Aurora for several years. After moving to Hutchinson, she was a receptionist for Dr. Nanny’s office for 15 years.
She married Jerry D. Basore on May 26, 1958 in Aurora. He died Sept. 19, 2000. She later married John Sherwood on Febr. 6, 2002 in Las Vegas.
Survivors include her husband, John; a son, Tom (Gayle) Basore of Newton, Kan.; a daughter Cindy (Ronald) McFeeters of Hutchinson, Kan.; a step-son Doug Sherwood; three step-daughters Kathy (Mike) Baker, Pam (Ed) Tuxhorn and Connie (Fred) Romesburg, all of Hutchinson; one grandson Elijah Basore; nine step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Paula Basore.
