John Larsen - December 23, 2009

Former Aurora resident John Allan Larsen, Jr., 38, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 at his mother’s home in Orleans.
He was born the only child to Lynda Darlene (Zade) Larsen and John Allan Larsen, Sr. on March 1, 1971 at Alma.
He completed kindergarten at Orleans the rest of his grade school education at Glenvil. He attended high school at the Sandy Creek Consolidated School at rural Fairfield where he graduated with the class of 1989. After graduation he moved to Aurora.
He was baptized at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Glenvil on Dec. 14, 1980 and was confirmed at this same church in April of 1986.
On June 30, 1990, he married Angela Marie Eberhardt at Aurora. To this union four children were born, Jaime Marie, Derek John, Mariah Rene’ and Ryan Allan.
He moved to Hastings in 1992 where he was employed as foreman at Hastings Pork from 1993 until 2001. He moved back to Aurora in 2000 returning to Hastings in 2002. Unfortunately his marriage ended in divorce in 2002. He was employed as a forklift operator at A-1 Fiberglass Manufacturing in Hastings for the past four years.
Survivors include his mother Lynda Larsen of Orleans; his father John Larsen, Sr. of Grand Island; his four children at home with their mother in Aurora; his aunt and uncle, Marilyn and Junior Cuba, of Glenvil, who raised John as their own son; his cousins who were raised as his sisters, Julie (Jeremy) Fitzke of Hastings and Jennifer Klatt of Kenesaw; a half brother Jared Larsen, at home with his father in Grand Island; his special friend, Jill Russeau of Red Cloud; many aunts and uncles; other relatives; and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 29 at the Prayer Baptist Church in Orleans with Pastor Michael David officiating. Visitation will be prior to service time. Burial will be at the Orleans Cemetery.
