Troy Eppert - November 22, 2009

Troy Eppert, 54, of Central City, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island. Rev. Jocelyn Tupper will officiate. Troy Ervin Eppert, son of Bill and Pat (Terry) Eppert, was born in Central City on May 5, 1955. He grew up in Central City and moved to Grand Island at age 5. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1973 and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with an agriculture business degree in 1977.
He married Kari Cox on Aug. 6, 1977. He actively participated in rodeos for several years. They settled in Grand Island. He and his wife trained racehorses in Nebraska for 12 years. They moved to Central City in 1996. He had a small cattle and horse operation while working for Christensen Cattle Company.
He was actively involved in all aspects of his children’s and his families’ life.
Survivors include his wife, Kari Eppert of Central City; children, Trevor Eppert of Central City and Kirby Eppert of Stephenville, Texas; mother, Pat Eppert of Grand Island; sister, Marsha Eppert of Marshalltown, Iowa and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
