John Fosket - November 05, 2009

Former Aurora resident John F. Fosket, 46, of St. Paul, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Howard County Community Hospital.
Services were Monday, Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Raymond M. Kosmicki officiated. Private family burial will be at a later date in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 5, 1963, in Bridgeport. He was the son of James B. and Catherine A. (Carr) Fosket.
He grew up in Bridgeport, Gering, Aurora and Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Central Catholic in 1981. He attended Kearney State College.
He married Denise Grupe on June 11, 1988 at Grand Island. For the past 20 years he was employed at the Hall County Department of Corrections.
He married Julie Proehl on June 30, 2007, at St. Paul. They lived in St. Paul.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his children’s academic and sporting events. He was a little league and legion baseball coach. He enjoyed hunting and appreciated the little things in life.
He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Sons of American Legion, and UFCW Local No 22.
Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Julie Proehl -Fosket of St. Paul; two sons, Seth and Zach Fosket of Aurora; two stepsons, Matt and David Proehl of St. Paul; two stepdaughters Danielle Proehl and Rachel Proehl-Thompson of St. Paul; one brother James B. (Virginia) Fosket of Grand Island; one sister Doris (Steve) Vetter of Aurora; one sister-in-law, Michelle Costello of Kearney; two brothers-in-law: Daniel Costello of Tarnov and Michael and Lisa Costello of Lincoln; father-in-law: Mick Costello of Greeley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary and Patricia D. Fosket.
