Evelyn Ford - September 01, 2009

Former Aurora resident Evelyn Ford, 57, of Sylvester, Ga., died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga.
Her remains were cremated and a graveside service was held Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Aurora Cemetery.
Evelyn Marie O’Brien Ford, daughter of John and June Lee (Dunham) O’Brien, was born July 21, 1952 in Aurora. She had lived in Sylvester since 1999.
She was a homemaker who helped her husband in the family business. She enjoyed using the computer, cook shows, oil painting, arts and crafts, decorating and reading. She was an amateur chef. She was a member of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include her husband, David Ford of Sylvester, Ga.; daughters, Angela M. Brandt of Wichita Falls, Texas and Annette M. (Geonoro) Vazquez of Central City; one son, Anthony (Nicole Nordhues) Brandt of Grand Island; her father, John O’Brien of Aurora; the father of her children, Richard Brandt of Grand Island; her husband’s children, Michael Ford (Carol) Bridges of Shreveport, La., Steve (Amy) Ford of Sylvester, Ga., Cathy (Mike) Gailey of Tifton, Ga., Jeff (Tonya) Ford of Doles, Ga., Mina (John) Prophitt of Doles, Ga. and Josh Ford of Andover, N.H.; 12 grandchildren.
