Mathew Henriksen - August 23, 2009

Former Aurora resident Mathew D. Henriksen, 35, of Kearney died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009 near Holdrege.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 27 at 11 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Axtell with Pastor David Evenson officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Horner-Lieske-Horner Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Mathew D. Henricksen was born Dec. 14, 1973 in Aurora to Don and Judy (Jameson) Henriksen. He was baptized into the Christian faith in Hampton and later confirmed in the faith in Arnold. He graduated from Axtell High School in 1992.
He married Amy Easton in Kearney in April of 2005.
He was a project manager for BD Construction in Kearney. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Axtell and the Holdrege Country Club. He enjoyed computers, gaming, playing golf, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Henriksen of Kearney; son, Brandon Easton of Kearney; daughter, Brooke Henriksen of Kearney; parents, Don and Judy Henriksen of Kearney; sister, Wendy (Aron) Wiest of Lincoln; brother, Phil Henriksen of Issaquah, Wash.; grandmother, Helen (Art) Jacobson of Aurora; father-in-law, Bob (Marie) Easton of Kearney; sister-in-law, Susie (Jon) Oligmueller of Hickman; brother-in-law, Dan (Shannon) Easton of Dallas, Texas; a niece and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mikki Easton and his grandparents, Clarence and Dorothy Henriksen and Don Jameson.
