Francis (Frank) Paup - May 21, 2014

Francis (Frank) Paup, 70, died Wednesday May 21, 2014 at the Medical center of the Rockies, in Loveland Colorado, due to pneumonia following a massive stroke in February.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Catholic Church with a reception at The Yancey Hotel clubroom. Cremation will be performed in Loveland Colo.
Francis I Paup was born Sept. 14, 1943 in Central City, to Ira and Dorothy (Arends) Paup. He grew up in Petersburg and Central City. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1961 and was aboard the minesweeper, The USS Sagacity, in the Mediterranean, he was honorably discharged in 1966. He married the love of his life, Bonita (Bunny) Zemak, on Nov. 4 1967 in Aurora.
He was defiantly a jack of all trades, he had worked at a Mink Farm, an awning company in Chicago Ill., The Marquette CO-OP Grain Elevator, Coast to Coast in Central City and the Marquette Public Schools. During his time spent in Marquette, Frank was the Town Marshall, a Volunteer Fireman, tree trimmer and had a part time business, Paup Refrigeration, he was a member of the Marquette Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus. In 1991 Frank and Bunny moved to Loveland, Colo. to manage Foothills Apartments, A lifelong dream they shared. During his time in Loveland, Frank was very involved with St. John the Evangelist Catholic church and school, where he drove the bus and was an Ecuristic minister.
Frank loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting in his younger days, and traveling with his wife and grandkids. But most of all Frank was a devoted family man, with 2 kids, 7 grandkids, a loving wife, wonderful brothers and sister, a devoted mother and a huge extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and in-laws.
His family was his whole being and he will be missed very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one younger brother Jerry Paup. Survivors include, his wife of 46 years Bonita (Bunny) Paup of Loveland Colo., son Robert and Marci Paup of Grand Island, daughter, Teresa Paup Green of Loveland Colo., sister Deanna and Larry Tunks, brothers, Larry and Barb Paup, Rick and Ann Paup, and Nick and Teena Paup, all of Central City; grandchildren Jessica Green and Jennifer Green of Loveland Colo., Logan Paup, Dalton Paup and Ariel Paup of Central City and Derrick Neighbors and Allyson Neighbors of North Platte.
