Roberta Ann Fuller - May 23, 2014

Roberta Ann Fuller, 62, of Chapman died Friday, May 23, 2014.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Monroe Evangelical Free Church of Phillips. Reverend Marshall Erickson and Reverend Robert Stretch will officiate. Burial will be at the Monroe Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Roberta was born April 6, 1952 at David City, to Bob and Darlene (Edwards) Shrader.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Mel; children and their spouses, Michael and Megan Fuller, and their children, Ethan and Madeleine, of Chapel Hill, NC and Marla and Nick Waters of Carter, SD; mother, Darlene Shrader of David City; mother-in-law, Frances Fuller of Grand Island; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Dale Strehle of Crete and their family; brother and life partner, Rod Shrader and Doug Cooper of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and numerous dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, father-in-law, and an infant child.
Roberta grew up and received her education at David City, graduating with the class of 1970.
She was united in marriage to Melvin E. Fuller on Oct. 22, 1972 in David City. Following their marriage, the couple lived in David City and Roberta was employed with a private practice physician. Their final relocation was to Chapman, and for several years Roberta enjoyed working at the Plum Thicket in Grand Island and volunteering with Hospice.
First and foremost, Roberta’s faith was the foundation of her life. She was an avid prayer warrior and studier of God’s Word. She encouraged others continually and wherever she went she touched lives and made friends. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Roberta possessed a contagious laugh and loved to share travels and stories with her treasured friends. Beginning with their honeymoon in 1972, Branson, Mo. was a cherished part of her travels. Her unique, generous, whole-hearted way of showing God’s love to those around her will be greatly missed.
