Erma M. Williamson - December 31, 1969

Erma M. Williamson, 90 years, of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Fremont Area Medical Center.
Erma was born Dec. 31, 1923 in Hamilton County, to Elijah and Anna (Styskal) Chaney. She graduated from Aurora High School in Aurora. In February of 1944, Erma married Charles Williamson, Sr.. After their marriage, Erma accompanied her husband while he was in the Army Air Corp stationed in Venice, Florida. The couple moved to Aurora and then to Fremont in the 1960’s. Erma attended Midland Lutheran College and Metro Tech Community College nursing school to obtain her LPN. She worked as an LPN at Arbor Manor until her retirement.
Erma was a past leader in Weight Watchers, loved art and pottery, and making afghans.
She is survived by sons, Charles (Mary) Williamson of Fremont, Jim Williamson of Casper, Wyo., and John (Lynn) Williamson of Deltona, Fla.; daughter, Candyce (Daniel) Noblin of Live Oak, Fla.; son-in-law Robert Lorenz of Fremont; six grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, who died in May 12, 1979; and daughter, Wilma Lorenz.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 26, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell. The Rev. Doug Delp will be officiating.
Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
