Vernon E. Iliff - December 31, 1969

Vernon E. Iliff, 63, of Harvard, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at the Aurora Memorial Hospital in Aurora.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at the United Methodist Church of Harvard with Rev. Travis King officiating. Visitation was held Sunday from 2-7 p.m. at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home in Harvard with the family present from 5-7 p.m. Burial was in the Aurora Cemetery in Aurora.
Memorials may be given to the family.
Vernon was born on Dec. 5, 1950 in Hastings, to Dale V. and Doris M. (Hagemeister) Iliff. He graduated from Aurora High School in 1969. Then graduated at Milford Community College in diesel mechanics in 1971. He married Cindy S. Snell on Nov. 23, 1985 in Aurora.
Vernon was a member of the Harvard United Methodist Church in Harvard where he was on various committees. He farmed in Clay and Hamilton counties and was a member of the National Corn Growers Association. He loved family and friends and would help anyone at anytime. He loved to golf and play cards.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy; his mother, Doris Iliff of Aurora; 2 sons, Nick Anderson and Bryce Iliff, both of Lincoln. 2 grandchildren, Trevin and Keira Anderson of Lincoln; 1 sister, Carolyn Fasnacht and her husband, Myron of Lincoln. 2 aunts, Elizabeth Hagemeister of Phillips and Bethine Hagemeister of Aurora, and many cousins.
Preceding him in death was his father, Dale.
Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home of Harvard was in charge of the arrangements.
