County commissioner spots contested on May ballot PDF E-mail

For the first time in recent memory, the three seats on the Hamilton County Board that are up for election are contested, with two Republicans on the ballot in each of the districts.

District 1 includes incumbent Douglas L. Andersen of Marquette and Becky Richter of Aurora.

District 2 includes incumbent Wally Driewer of Hampton and Rich Nelson of Marquette.

District 5 includes incumbent Tim Bergen and Ivan L. Hongsermeier. Roger Nunnenkamp also filed for the District 5 seat, but is nominated for the general election because he is running as a Democrat without opposition.

The six candidates appearing on the May primary ballot are profiled this week. Their answers to the News-Register’s questions are unedited. To read more, see this week's print or e-editions.
