|Dubas to run for governor|
Dist. 34 State Sen. Annette Dubas, who represents Hamilton County in the Nebraska Legislature, announced Thursday she will run for governor.
"My family and I made this decision," Dubas said from Lincoln, where she has been attending meetings. "I still have a lot of things I have to get in order, like getting my campaign organized and some family issues with the farm. By the end of September, we’ll roll out with a formal announcement and I’ll have the ability to seriously answer more questions about my campaign."
Dubas has served in the Unicameral for the last seven years, including last year as the chairperson of the Transportation and Telecommunications Committee. She cannot run for re-election in 2014 due to term limits.
