Aurora teams 7th at chilly conference meet PDF E-mail

Miserable weather conditions contributed to sub-par performances for Central Conference track and field athletes Saturday at the conference meet at Doane College in Crete.

With temperatures in the 30s, gusty winds and a steady mist to contend with, it wasn’t a day for the Huskies, or any other athletes, to shine.
“The meet weather was not good. Last year we dealt with 100 degree temperatures and Saturday I don’t think it got above 44 the whole day,” said Aurora coach Ron Haden.

Both boys and girls squads placed seventh in the 10-team meet, with York winning the boys title and Crete winning the girls title.
