Giltner girls return to state tournament PDF E-mail

For the second straight year -- and the second time in school history -- the Giltner girls basketball team is headed to the state tournament.
It took extra work though, as the Lady Hornets responded from a buzzer-beater at the end of regulation with just enough offense in overtime for a 42-40 victory Friday against Axtell for the D2-4 crown.
Giltner’s girls will take on the two-time defending state champs in Thursday’s first-round action at the Class D2 state tournament in Lincoln.
