Manor asks for $310,000 in county funding PDF E-mail

County commissioners tabled a motion Tuesday to consider a $310,000 loan to the Hamilton Manor, which board members explained is struggling to make ends meet due in large part to its aging facilities and a dropping census.
Roger Bamesberger, a long-time member of the manor’s Board of Directors, said the situation has become quite serious within the past few months.
“You as commissioners can put this building up for sale, you can close it up and lose a $2 million payroll, you can lease it, or you can work with the board and try to turn it around, with your help financially,” he said.
