Aurora’s wrestling squad took another step on its run to the postseason Saturday, as the Huskies finished second at the Central Conference meet in Seward.
The Huskies, not rated as a team, finished with 141.5 points. Class C No. 1 Central City won with 150 points, but Aurora finished ahead of Class B No. 10 York (137.5), while No. 4 Seward and Schuyler tied for fourth with 129.

The big boys led the way for the Huskies, as the wrestlers in the three heaviest classes all won individual titles. The trio of Ehren Schwarz at 285 pounds, Austin Wonch at 220 and Eli Bricker at 195 all entered the tournament rated sixth in Class B in their weight classes. Two pinned higher-ranked wrestlers from York in the championship round. See this week's edition for complete meet details.
