The Lady Hornets basketball team had a little trouble with takeoff Friday, but got flying late in the first half on their way to stinging Osceola 55-31.

Giltner trailed by four at the outset and 13-10 after a quarter before taking the lead for good in the final minute of the first half.

Facing a one-point deficit late in the first half, Darby Hinrichs dished out two critical assists, first feeding Shayne Vaught down low with 50 seconds left for a 19-18 lead and Dani Most for a 21-18 halftime edge.
