The Huskies, who led 22-7 just before halftime, scored just 17 points the rest of the way but their defense was stubborn enough to not allow the Lady Wildcats to come all the way back. St. Paul hurt the Huskies with rebounding on both ends of the floor and got back into the game in the third period. But the fast start by Aurora proved to be the key to this game. Aurora’s girls scored 16 points in the second quarter to build a nice lead, then hung on for an important 39-33 road win Friday at St. Paul to even their record at 3-3.
