Shorthanded No. 7 Husky wrestlers split duals PDF E-mail

Aurora’s wrestling team split a pair of duals Friday night at the Sports Complex, drilling a shorthanded St. Paul squad 66-16 before coming up short against Lexington 44-32.

"They’re a tough team," Husky coach Bill Wofford said about Lexington. "They’re rated up there. They’ve got some pretty good kids."

Aurora, rated seventh in Class B and fourth-best duals team in its class by the state wrestling coaches, won only three matches in the St. Paul dual. But, the visiting Wildcats had nine open weight classes, resulting in 54 team points for the Huskies, which also pinned three St. Paul wrestlers.
