Hamilton County Commissioners gave their unanimous approval Monday to a performance-based sustainable funding plan that will send a portion of county tax dollars from new growth valuation to the Aurora Development Corporation/Aurora Area Chamber and Development.
Under the sustainable funding plan, a one-time payment of 75 percent of each calendar year’s new growth tax dollars to the county will go to AACD/ADC to be used to fund employee payroll and benefits, as well as chamber expenses. Had the plan been implement last year, the 75 percent would have equated to $8,500 -- $1,500 less than the county’s current annual payment to AACD.
