4R rejects pool resolution PDF E-mail

A request for the District 4R schools to join with the City of Aurora in forming a joint public entity as a way to tax its citizens for a new city pool was rejected by Aurora School Board members Monday night following an executive session.

 

Aurora mayor Marlin Seeman told school board members the city, from time to time, needs to borrow money and one method provided to do so is by creating a joint partnership between two entities that would have taxing authority. In this case, it would be to fund the city’s new swimming pool.
