Aurora’s girls basketball team saw its record even out at .500 over the weekend, as the Lady Huskies dropped back-to-back contests, at Lakeview on Friday 36-30, and to preseason Class C1 No. 1 Minden 60-32.

Against the Whippets, junior all-state twins Brooke and Jamie Kissinger combined for 38 points, both connecting on three treys to lead the assault.

The Huskies put up a good fight in the first half during the fast-paced contest, leading 7-4 on a rebound and putback by Allison Penner, and then when the sophomore hit 1 of 2 free throws.
