Giltner, HP open season at No. 1; Aurora listed PDF E-mail

The Giltner and High Plains boys basketball teams both opened the season tops in their respective class according to the Omaha World-Herald Thursday, while Aurora started the year eighth according to the Lincoln Journal Star.

Two-time defending champion Giltner leads Class D2, followed by Humphrey St. Francis, Wynot, Falls City Sacred Heart, Sterling, Wausa, Leyton, Lindsay Holy Family, Bertrand and Spalding/Spalding Academy.

The Storm sits atop Class D1, followed by Paxton, O’Neill St. Mary’s, BDS, Howells-Dodge, Exeter-Milligan, Arapahoe, West Point Guardian Angels CC, Pawnee City and Loup City.

In Class B, defending champ Scottsbluff is No. 1, followed by Elkhorn South, Norris, Omaha Skutt, Gretna, Ralston and Omaha Gross before the Huskies. After Aurora is Waverly and South Sioux City.
