Winter Wonderland of Trees PDF E-mail

The Plainsman Museum’s annual Winter Wonderland of Trees Christmas display is now open for public viewing, Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during December.

Churches, organizations and individuals have decorated Christmas trees, many of which are located in the museum’s rotunda. Others are scattered throughout the museum, on the boardwalk and inside store replicas.

Some of the handmade ornaments include: Clockwise, from top left photo, large snowflakes and doves adorn the tree decorated St. John’s Lutheran Church of Kronborg, with the theme "Love comes down at Christmas." Platte Valley Decorative Artists decorated their tree with snowmen. Hampton Homemakers’ tree is filled with white angels. "Christ the Saviior is born" is the theme of the tree decorated by First Lutheran Church, featuring gold angels.
