Winter Wonderland of Trees opens on Saturday at Plainsman Museum PDF E-mail

The annual Plainsman Museum Winter Wonderland of Trees will open Sunday and be on display throughout December.

For more than 30 years, the museum has been filled with trees decorated by organizations, churches, businesses and individuals from throughout the county. Last year, there were over 30 trees and museum director Megan Sharp hopes to top that number in 2012.

Trees must be up by Friday in order to be ready for several calendar events early in December.

On Saturday, a Christmas open house will be held with Aurora Area Chamber and Development and the Edgerton Explorit Center.

On Sunday, the Fine Arts Committee of Hamilton Community Foundation will host a String Beans concert.

Then on Dec. 6, the museum and Aurora Women’s Club will host a Christmas Extravaganza, with a soup lunch and bake sale fundraiser.
