Hamilton County showed healthy gains in net taxable sales during the month of August, though vehicle sales were trending in the other direction for the second straight month.

The Nebraska Department of Revenue reported the county’s taxable sales figures for August at $4,469,466, up 15.5 percent from the previous year. Aurora’s total was up to $3,855,728, a solid 30 percent gain from August 2011.
