The win put Giltner in a quarterfinal showdown Tuesday with Medicine Valley, which defeated Garden County 64-42 in a battle of unbeaten teams. The Hornets’ defense stood tall Wednesday, holding Anselmo-Merna to just 101 total yards, including 56 rushing. Going into the game, sophomore Trent Geiser had rushed for more than 1,400 yards to lead a powerful ground game. |
