Aurora sophomore Kristin Bell got her first taste of state golf meet experience Monday, firing a 101 to place herself near the middle of the field.

The final round for the two-day Class B competition at Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln was scheduled for Tuesday.

"Kristin was a little nervous at first, but she kind of settled down after a while," said coach Rick Bell. "Her short game was pretty solid, but I think she felt like she could have played better."
