It’s been a long time since Grand Island Northwest won a football game against Aurora, and the Vikings made a statement Friday not only defeating the Huskies on their home turf, but drilling the Big Red, 54-0.

"It was a very tough pill to swallow," coach Randy Huebert admitted after the loss. "This game was filled with adversity. We had turnovers and we weren’t making plays, while on the other side they were making plays, moving the ball and having success."
