Hamilton County Corn Growers Association members picked a cold, blustery day to harvest their test plot last week, but they, and cooperators Mike and Diane Danhauer, made quick work of the process, finishing the 20-acre plot in the course of one morning.

While it may not seem like a large amount of acres, it’s a stop and go process that takes more time than harvesting a regular field of corn.

This year’s test plot featured 12 different seed brands with two or more varieties of hybrids representing each brand.
