One of Aurora’s oldest downtown buildings came back to life this week with the opening of a new Verizon premium wireless retail store.

 

Tim Opal, Nebraska district manager for the South Dakota-based Wireless World company that owns the new store, said Aurora fit the description they were looking for in additional sites in the rural Midwest.

"The City of Aurora has been underserved for a long time," Opal said. "What happens is Verizon says we need distribution in a particular area and they give us a list of towns. We find locations like this and give them stores."
