| City’s $20 million budget request reflects previous year's practice |

If previous trends are any indication, the City of Aurora will not come close to its budget authority limit of nearly $20 million. At the Sept. 11 meeting, council members approved a total budget authority figure of $19,845,518.35. Budget documentation indicates that, for at least the past seven years, Aurora has budgeted more than $17.6 million each year, but never spent more than roughly $9.6 million in a fiscal year. |
