Aurora and Giltner football teams gained valuable summer experience by competing in a high-level 7 on 7 camp in Arkansas recently.

They were among 32 teams at the Southwest Elite 7 on 7 Showcase held in Springdale, Ark. Giltner’s squad posted a 6-3-1 record, including 5-1-1 in pool play, while Aurora finished 4-6.

"It was an opportunity to see where we stand, but mainly an opportunity to get better and play against good competition," Aurora coach Randy Huebert said. "Coach (Jeff) Ashby told me about it and I thought we should try it this year."
