The partially-constructed ethanol plant on the west edge of Aurora could be completed in 2011 if a plan being developed by its bankrupt owner stays on track. Aventine Renewable Energy’s preliminary plan was discussed publicly Monday during the Aurora Cooperative’s annual meeting. Though the Aurora-based cooperative is not a vested owner in the ethanol plant itself, its president and CEO explained that completing phase one of the $250 million project would be good news for all involved.
