Plainsman fundraiser nets $8,200 PDF E-mail

More than 125 people attended the Plainsman Museum’s annual fundraiser Monday, helping raise an estimated $8,200 to help fund the museum’s north boardwalk project and other exhibit renovations. Aurora’s wrestling squad took another step on its run to the postseason Saturday, as the Huskies finished second at the Central Conference meet in Seward.
The Huskies, not rated as a team, finished with 141.5 points. Class C No. 1 Central City won with 150 points, but Aurora finished ahead of Class B No. 10 York (137.5), while No. 4 Seward and Schuyler tied for fourth with 129.

Hampton post office PDF E-mail

Rhonda Dowling is now managing the Hampton post office.
She replaced previous postmaster Mark Tylkowski, who left for a similar position in Valley. Between the two, Cindy Madison was the officer in charge (OIC) who finished Dowling’s training.
Like Hordville, Marquette and Polk, among other communities, Hampton will have a post office plan meeting for the community to discuss the needs of the facility. The meeting will be March 22 at 2 p.m. at the Hampton fire hall.
