A full lineup of exhibitors, coupled with lines of traffic flowing through all three buildings, made for another successful Hamilton County Home and Garden Show and Outdoor Expo.
Home and Garden Show manager Keith Wasem noted that all three exhibitions, including the annual Health Fair, were full of exhibitors. He said the vendors who come are continually pleased with the event.
“Year after year, we hear from the exhibitors that they’re treated like people, and they appreciate that,” Wasem noted.  See a complete report in this week's print or e-editions.
 
Huskies qualify 7 for state PDF E-mail

Aurora was poised for a big run at the B-3 District tournament in York.
The Huskies won seven of their eight first-round matches, but won just six of its 17 bouts in the next two championship rounds combined, tumbling to fifth in the team standings. Aurora regrouped to win six of nine in the heartbreak round (consolation semifinals) and have seven qualify for this week’s state meet.
The seven qualifiers include Dante Todd at 126 pounds; Caleb Oswald at 145; Alex Brechbill at 170; TJ Dozier at 182; Eli Bricker at 195; Austin Wonch at 220; and Ehren Schwarz at 285.
 
Basketball subdistricts PDF E-mail

The Nebraska School Activities Association has announced girls basketball subdistrict matchups.
Tuesday, Giltner (14-6) will face Heartland Lutheran (2-17) at 6 p.m. in the D2-7 subdistrict at Kenesaw. At 8 p.m. in the same subdistrict, Hampton (12-6) will face Lawrence-Nelson (4-15). The winners face each other in the subdistrict championship Thursday at 7 p.m. in Kenesaw.
High Plains girls (2-16) take on Cross County (12-9) at 6:15 p.m. Monday at Central City in D1-4 play. If the Storm wins, they would play top-seed Fullerton (12-6) at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
