67 teams taking challenge PDF E-mail

As participants weigh in this week for the 2013 Hamilton County Health Challenge, they’ll be given a new online tool to help them reach their goals.
A user-friendly program, offered courtesy of a Kansas City-based health company, Cerner Corporation, will help them track their own personal progress, as well as that of their two-person team.
It will show how each team is doing compared to the rest of the field, in terms of percentage weight loss.
It will provide a tool to receive recipes, exercises, as well as timely tips on how to stay motivated or get back on your game.
And it may even stir the competitive juices with a little trash talk among health-conscience friends. Thirty two-person teams weighed in on Monday, with one more day to step on the scales set for Thursday.

ARC recommends Refshauge Park for pool PDF E-mail

After considering several criteria, the Aquatic Recreation Center group recommended that the Aurora City Council should pursue Refshauge Park as the site for the city's next swimming pool, though no official action was taken. BPOC latest beef promo venture for Caldwell PDF E-mail

Dawn Caldwell has spent the better part of her life around the cattle industry.
She grew up on her parents’ cow-calf operation near Guide Rock and now raises cattle with her husband, Matt, near Edgar.
She’s served in various capacities promoting the cattle industry and, now, she’s added the Beef Promotion Operating Committee (BPOC) to her resume.
Caldwell, currently the Aurora Cooperative corporate communications director, was one of 20 individuals selected to the BPOC, which oversees allocation of beef checkoff dollars nationwide.
